Round 5 - Kameron

Back to Kameron's Debater Profile  ]

We have reached the end of this debate...finally.  I would like to say that I only read JB's first post, the others were just too long.  Maybe I'll get to them someday.  My opponents, when trying to use the Bible to refute my points, looked rather clumsy and foolish.  I enjoyed how JB dissected them.  ARU says I responded to him foolishly to something he said at one time.  I'd like to say he's delusional, because I never responded to him at all.

As for my arguements, I do not in any way regret opening this debate with the Bible.  I wouldn't have it any other way.  Going into battle without a sword is kind of idiotic.  I have some other arguments I just learned, however.  Imagine this scenario:

Imagine yourself as a father washing dishes at a sink.  Your son comes up behind you, and asks, "Daddy, can I kill this?"  With your back turned, the immediate response is, "No, what is it you have?"

In our society, we don't even bother to see what it is we're killing.  Of course, common sense tells us the unborn are human, but common sense is outlawed in liberal debate.

Would you kill a 2-year-old because he's in the way?  Of course not.  That's just cruel.  So why does age matter?

An unborn baby is a pre-human conscript?  Um....that's got to be the lamest attempt to escape reality I have ever seen.  Yeah...

In conclusion, abortion, like anything is a matter of faith.  I firmly believe the unborn are human.  My opponents don't, but they also believe morality is a preference.  So why isn't rape acceptable?  It's a lot less worse than murder.  Of course, a woman's right to murder must never be violated.  Yeah...

Where ever you wage your war on the defenseless, I will be there...fighting back.  Cowards.

Kameron,

“I would like to say that I only read JB's first post, the others were just too long. Maybe I'll get to them someday. My opponents, when trying to use the Bible to refute my points, looked rather clumsy and foolish. I enjoyed how JB dissected them.”

Perhaps you should have read a little more because JB backed down on the interpretation of those verses (in his 4th round):

“but since I'm perhaps more inclined than my partner is to agree that foreknowledge is a legitimate interpretation of Jeremiah 1:5, I'll let the point go.”

“ARU says I responded to him foolishly to something he said at one time. I'd like to say he's delusional, because I never responded to him at all.”

Well...except that one time that you did (and that just happened to be what I was referring to...go figure):

“"And what happens when the Bible does not directly address the issue?" Unbelievers tend to be strict legalists, and be very proud about it too. Legalism is idiocy. Don't you people have any common sense? Apparently, you don't even go by your own rules, that of science. God knew exactly that abortion is murder. I'm not going to construct a Biblical case for you because you won't understand it!!! Every heard of the Covenant? The historical background of Moloch? Child sacrifice? I don't think so. So do yourself a favor, and don't try and refute Biblical arguments, because you can't you God's weapon against him.”
“I'm not going to rebutt the rest of your post because it's the same thing the other two have been saying. Arguments against the Bible have never prevailed. Ever heard of Cornelius Van Til? arguments against God fail miserably.”

Perhaps I’m delusional…but you are the one with the bad arguments and the selective memory. Don’t worry, I won’t look back on this ensemble of inane sentences…I’m most fond of this one:

“JB, I'm overwhelmed by our little debate over at the other site. Tell me we're right.”

Lol, that's dedication and confidence. I recommend xanga messaging for showing future signs of weakness. Just a thought.
